The NEAT Center at Oak Hill enriches the lives of those with disabilities through access to devices and services that provide choice, control, and independence. We have a growing assistive technology lending library designed to support the decision-making process for individuals with disabilities. This is a NEAT member benefit only. If you are unsure of your membership status, please see the member listing on our website. It is important to mention that individuals with disabilities and their immediate family are automatically considered NEAT members.
We offer a variety of assistive technology devices for loan throughout the state of Connecticut. These short-term loans assist providers of education, health, employment and related services in making informed decisions about the assistive technology they might use at work, school or home. Technology supports include the needs of individuals with concern to visual, communication, cognitive, hearing, mobility, learning, and other disabilities. We also cater to individuals who are aging in place and would like to trial smart technology for enhanced control and access over their home.
The library consists of low-tech to high-tech devices including Apple Watches, Amazon Echos and Dots, amplification systems, video game controllers, iPads and many iOS apps, Livescribe pens, alternative mice and keyboards, capability switches, GoTalks, laptops with special education software, and so much more!
The NEAT Lending Library is:
- exclusive to NEAT Members
- used to make informed choices about what technology works best for your specific needs
- provides a short-term loan to “try before you buy”
- an opportunity to explore what’s new in assistive technology
- a great way to build your capacity for AT knowledge

We are excited to announce that we have moved our Library to a new website, called MyTurn. View our library inventory by clicking here.
Please note that on this new website, you will need to first create an account in order to request loans. Look at the upper right hand side of the home page for the “Create Account” option.
To better guide you in this transition, we have created a tutorial video that will walk you through how to use MyTurn and begin lending today!
